For shooters of any experience level. Covers gun safety rules, the operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, maintenance, and range safety, including live fire and a standardized shooting qualification.
Teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to safely use a rifle in target shooting — safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, shooting fundamentals, and firing from the bench, prone, sitting, standing, and kneeling positions.
Covers the safe and proper use of a shotgun on moving targets — safe gun handling, shotgun parts and operation, shell components, shooting fundamentals, and shooting at straight-away and angled targets.
Develops the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe, efficient use of a handgun to protect yourself and your family — basic defensive shooting skills, home-safety strategies, firearms and the law, and choosing a defensive handgun.
Builds on Personal Protection Inside the Home — avoiding dangerous confrontations and the safe, effective, responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home, including presentation from concealment and the legal aspects of concealed carry.
Prepares experienced shooters to perform the basic duties of a Range Safety Officer — RSO roles and responsibilities, range standard operating procedures, range inspection and rules, range briefings, emergency procedures, and handling firearm stoppages and malfunctions.
